EDEN GOSPEL WORKERS MINISTRY
ABOUT US
The Eden Gospel Workers Ministry is located in the rural community of Eden Hill in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica where we offer assistance to persons in need of healing from various diseases. We believe that "disease is an effort of nature, to free the system from conditions that result from a violation of the laws of health". These laws can be summed up into 8 components: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust in God. We employ these principles using locally- available herbs to aid the body in the natural healing process.
This location is one that can be considered as ‘off the beaten path’ as the road conditions are substandard and make for difficult driving. On the other hand it is unreached by the gospel as there are no SDA churches or other churchesin the vicinity.
Community members subsist by farming and the sale of their produce. Praedial larceny, however, is common malpractice.
Standing as a light in this area there has been a marked decline in this practice as persons’ consciences have been awakened to the presence of another power higher than the evils of stealing others goods.
We share the good news of salvation to souls that are dying and in need of a better way of living and see this as a niche where the gospel is taking roots and has potential for thriving.
We look forward to the appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and express this by sharing tracts, selling literature, and talking of God’s love and second coming through door to door and group bible studies.
Below are pictures of EGWM helping those in need, physically and spiritually .
We carry out a daily witnessing program by visiting the nearby communities. Our visiting program caters to Bible studies, health consultations and house cleaning of individuals who can hardly help themselves.
We are a self supporting ministry and farming and donation are our main sources of income. We occasionally travel to the market to sell our food from the farm to raise funds. In an attempt to maintain good health, foods are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or insecticides.
We are seeking donations to help with our industries. Our aim is to setup several health food stores and health centers in Jamaica. This will help us to earn funds for our volunteers as well as to increase the availability of health care and healthy food.
